Employee Free Choice   ATTACK !

S.O.S. Ballot   ( S ave   O ur   S ecret Ballot) is an initiative to derail the Employee Free Choice Act through local grassroots initiatives.    Missouri   and   Kansas   are among the 12 states where this initiative was introduced.

The S.O.S. Ballot initiative will place into state constitutions the “right” to a secret ballot – confidential voting.  Early polling indicates very strong grassroots support for efforts to preserve the secret ballot process, with more than 70% of those polled supporting this effort.  The support is even stronger in union households, with close to 80% supporting the secret ballot.

Missouri   has filed an initiative petition with the Secretary of State, and also has filed a joint resolution (House Joint Resolution 37) in the Legislature to put this issue on the November 2010 ballot.    Kansas   has filed a resolution in the Legislature, as   Kansaslacks an initiative petition process.

Employee Free Choice Act / Card Check

Under the so-called Employee Free Choice Act, or "card check" legislation, your workers would lose their right to a private ballot in a union election, inviting coercion and abuse. To learn more and take action, go to www.thetruthaboutefca.com   and
