EXCELLENCE IN CONSTRUCTION

Get involved in the ABC Excellence in Construction Awards!

It's that time of year again to prepare your company's Excellence in Construction project entries.
The suggested entry format follows an 8-tab listing. Each entry is $135 or FREE if you are a first-time entrant. All project entries are due on or before Friday, October 9, 2009.

What is Excellence in Construction?

Excellence in Construction (EIC) is an awards program exclusively for Associated Builders & Contractors members. There are two levels; local and National. You are invited to enter your best projects completed between October 11, 2008 and October 9, 2009. Winners of the Heart of America Chapter will be invited to enter the National awards program. No project with a safety-related fatality can receive consideration for an award.

Why should I participate?

The EIC awards program is a great business development tool for your company. Winners will receive recognition at the December awards banquet and also will be publicized in your local paper. You can also make a duplicate binder and copies of your award to show to prospective owners or clients – showcasing your best work and perpetuating future business for your firm.

When is the entry deadline?

Your entries are due to the ABC Heart of America Chapter office by 5 pm on Friday, October 9, 2009. Heart of America Chapter winners will be invited to send their entries to ABC National or register on-line by early November 2009.

How much is the entry fee?

The entry fee for each Heart of America Chapter entry is $135.

I have an unusual project or specific trade – will I be able to enter?

Yes, we have categories that include specialty work.

How many awards are distributed?

A total of over thirty first place awards of Excellence may be presented in general contractor and subcontractor categories combined.

When will the awards be presented?

The 2009 ABC Excellence in Construction awards will be presented Thursday, December 3, 2009. Over 200 ABC members, business owners, architects and engineers attended last year.

What do I have to do to enter?

If you have never entered the awards program or want to know more about how the entries are judged, it is recommended that you attend this workshop.
