With the new year in full swing, I wanted to wish everyone a very prosperous 2010. If nothing, the road ahead will be interesting. The Safety Department is here to assist you in any way we can, so please do not hesitate to call on us with any questions, or concerns.
The new option for online training has been popular and we have received numerous positive feedback replies from the users so far. Look to the right side of this webpage and check out what we can offer you, as far as remote training options. If you have any questions on the use, or details of the courses, please let me know.
The STEP award applications are ready to be accepted, anytime. The application is linked below in the STEP Section. The application is free and so is the submittal process. This is at no cost to the Gold Level Member and below, so get them completed as soon as you can. The deadline to turn in for 2010 and also be eligible for the Excellence In Safety Award is February 19th, at the close of business. This is an internal award generated by your STEP applications, so there is no additional information or process to compete. This is a local competition only and the comparisons are between you and your local chapter peers. We will see who is the safest contractor in the area for ABC Members and awards will be issued out this spring. A time and place is still in the works. Good Luck!

STEP Award certificates are presented at Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum levels. Platinum level is open to applicants who received Gold or Platinum level in 2010.
EXCELLENCE IN SAFETY AWARD
There is a new award to be won within the Heart of America Chapter in 2010. Competion is between you and your peers in the chapter and will announce you as best of type in your category. Once applications have been received from the STEP Program, all applicants will be added to the additional award program without additional charges or applications. This is a no cost competition, as it will be supported through sponsorship only.
