The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Heart of America Chapter Craft Championships (CC) are planned and conducted annually by ABC’s Craft Championships Committee. This committee consists of contractor representatives and ABC Heart of America chapter staff.
Serving as competition project managers, members of the CC Committee work with experts from contractor member organizations to design, manage and conduct individual craft competitions. Each craft competition consists of a written exam and performance evaluation contest that, although not a requirement, are “based on” Contren® Learning Series curricula developed by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER).
The CC Committee’s mission is to provide all competitors with a fair and equal opportunity to succeed and win as well as promote a rewarding learning experience throughout the competition. ABC Heart of America Chapter may select and sponsor competitors in the ABC National Championships, as set up by ABC National.
